Who is Really to Blame for Your Marital Problems
May 15, 2012 | Leave a Comment
Although people used to be able to keep their marriages together, even if they were unhappy in doing so, modern folks aren’t so willing to compromise their own needs just to keep their relationships intact. All you have to do is take a look at the divorce rate that currently exceeds 50% to come to understand this. Many people aren’t aware of the benefits of going to see a marriage expert if they are experiencing problems in their marriage. Truth be told, most couples out there could benefit from counseling right now. Simply talking to someone neutral that you both know could be beneficial to your marriage although not quite as much as talking to a trained professional.
There is nothing shameful about admitting that your marriage could be better or in seeking help to deal with your problems. You shouldn’t look at asking for professional help as admitting that your marriage is a failure. Instead, you should look at it as showing that you are truly committed to making your marriage work. No one is going to promise you 100% that you can save your marriage, because it may be too far gone to salvage. Even with counseling, you need to realize that success is going to rest 80% on you and your spouse with just 20% of the effort on the part of your counselor. Maybe a magician would be better suited to fixing your problems if you expect them to disappear overnight. Although the counselor is only 20% responsible for what happens, this is often what it takes to put you over the top.
As a couple, you both need to agree that there is a problem. Denial is something that quite a few couples have to deal with, and sometimes, one partner may believe that the other is responsible for all of the problems. Both party’s actions contribute to the problems that you experience in your relationship. Unless you both accept responsibility for your parts in the problems, you won’t be able to get your marriage back on track.
After admitting there is a problem, you both need to brainstorm exactly what each of you contributes to it. It’s very seldom only one person in the relationship who is at fault. Everything that your partner does prompts a reaction from you, and everything you do prompts a reaction from him or her. Therefore, it is a combination of cause and reaction that join together to form the core issue. You will be on the right track once you both admit that you need to change in some ways.

a Look at Eight Common Pitfalls That Can Cause Problems in Your Marriage
May 7, 2012 | Leave a Comment
When people marry, most of them are optimistic about the wonderful life they’re going to have together. Whenever couples are still in the honeymoon phase, they likely won’t pay much attention to the fact that that will likely be a few bumps in the road at some point. The trouble is, about 50% of them these days don’t end up with the happily ever after they were anticipating. You may watch your marriage fell apart and have no clue as to how to fix it. Here is a look at some of the best ways to end up getting divorced from your partner.
1. Refusing to communicate with your partner is one of the easiest ways to destroy the marriage. Couples always need to share their everyday experiences, joys, and sorrows with each other, so make sure that you always listen to what your partner has to say to you.
2. Obviously, cheating on your spouse can lead to marital discord. It will be very difficult for your partner to trust you again once you have broken it in the first place. Without trust, your marriage will have a very difficult time making it for long.
3. Lack of compromise on the part of one or both partners is going to lead to conflict. In any working relationship, everyone involved needs to give and take. One spouse can’t have his or her own way every single time. In the future, the partner who never gets his or her way will start to resent it.
4. Too much irresponsible spending can cause headaches that lead to heartaches. All sorts of problems can arise when couples find themselves deep in debt.
5. When one or both partners are selfish, but at marriage will also have a difficult time surviving. Sooner or later, your partner will get tired of dealing with a self-centered person. Even the best partner will get tired of it.
6. You may be tempted to spend all of your time with each other in the beginning and even let many of your friends go, but this will cause problems down the line. You can’t rely on spending all of your time with your partner since we all need to be around a variety of people.
7. You should also avoid making the mistake of withholding sex. Your partner will most likely find someone else to fulfill his or her needs if you make the mistake of withholding sex from them.
8. You should also avoid holding grudges. Try to avoid going to bed while still angry.

There are all sorts of problems that couples have in their marriages and many times they can’t seem to work them out on their own and start thinking about getting divorced. Well, if you truly love someone, you would give it every inch of compromise, you would put in every effort that you can to ensure that you do not have to give up on the special relationship that you have.
This is why many couples having marital problems choose to go to a marriage counselor. It’s not just good enough to go to a counselor, since you will want to find a good one. Here are a few things that will help.
Finding a Good Marriage Counselor
If couples can’t work out their problems on their own, then they should get a counselor to help them out. After finding what your problems are, then the counselor can come up with ways to help you work them out. Some couples think that they’re simply incompatible.
Counseling will teach you how to deal with these reactions. Counselors can give couples the encouragement that they need to work things out completely. A counselor can also help you learn how to find solutions to the problems that you have.
Do you believe that marriage counseling works? Counseling can work considerably if you find a good one. Here are a few tips on finding a good counselor.
First and foremost, before you decide what you want from the marriage counselor, you need to come to a conclusion about what you need from counseling. What particular problems are you having in your marriage? Since there are many different aspects to a successful marriage, you need to decide what areas to focus on. After thinking about all of these things, then you should be able to find a good counselor with ease.
You can try getting a recommendation from your family doctor or therapist for a good counselor. They should be able to recommend someone. If you aren’t hesitant to let it be known that you’re having marital problems, then also consider asking your friends and family members. Your religious leader may also be able to provide you with a referral for a good counselor. If none of them know about a good counselor, consult the yellow pages as a last resort. Sometimes You Need a Little Help Finding the Best Books on Marriage

There are literally hundreds of books that have been written on topics such as marriage, divorce, and conflict resolution. With so many options to choose from, one can certainly have a difficult time making a decision. You certainly won’t feel like buying book after book in order to get the information you’re searching for. Also, if an author doesn’t really have an experience dealing with marital issues, then it wouldn’t be a good idea to listen to his or her advice. If you’re searching for a book to help you save your marriage, then you will only want to make use of high-quality information, but you’ll have a hard time whittling down your choices. You should consider talking to an online marriage expert and make use of the advice he shares.
Some people spend a great deal of time researching marriage books online, but the problem with this is that you’ll have to wade through all of the biased opinions who are just looking to sell you books. Also, some people will refer to themselves as a doctor or expert even if they really aren’t. Your best bet is to talk to a marriage coach who will really try to help you find the best book that will set you back on the right track towards saving your marriage. If you talk to a coach at all, then you may not even need a book since coaches are a great source of knowledge when it comes to making a marriage work.
Some of the books that customers on Amazon have found most helpful include:
1.“This Momentary Marriage: A Parable of Permanance” by John Piper.
2.“What Did you Expect? Redeeming the Realities of Marriage” by Paul David Tripp
3.“When Sinners Say ‘I Do’: Discovering the Power of the Gospel for Marriage by Dave Harvey
4.“Each for the Other: Marriage as It’s Meant to Be” by Bryan Chapell
5.“Sacred Marriage” by Gary Thomas
The choice is certainly yours, but if you’d like some guidance finding the materials that will be relevant to your life and concerns, it’s a good idea to visit with a marriage coach. You can even find coaches who are willing to give you a half-hour session for free so that you can judge his capabilities for yourself. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Can Your Marriage Be Saved After an Affair?
January 3, 2012 | Leave a Comment
After someone has an affair, it often brings about the end of the relationship. Just because someone has an affair though, doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for the marriage to survive. After being cheated on, it’s still possible for you to save your marriage if you’re willing to do so. Saving your marriage after an affair won’t be an easy task though.
First of all, the offending party will need to correct their actions. Unless the other partner can be convinced that it won’t happen again, there will be little chance of reviving the marriage. It is vital that an apology be made. Even the most heartfelt apology won’t erase the memory and pain of the affair though.
It’s also important to realize that the affair happened for a reason. You may be tempted to act like the situation never happened and try to move on. This is a very common mistake that means you won’t be addressing the underlying reason for the affair. It is best that you talk to your partner honestly and openly since people cheat for all types of reasons.
Some people make a one-time mistake that they live the rest of their lives regretting. Some people cheat out of sheer boredom. Some people find sex elsewhere because they’re not being satisfied at home. Whatever the underlying reason, it is important that it be addressed.
You two might need a break from each other while you sort things out. You may have a hard time looking each other in the eye if you’re still living in the same house. Even if you separate to give each other a little space, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to be getting a divorce.
The long-lasting effect of an affair is a lack of trust. That means that you two will need to work on rebuilding it. It may be quite a while before the trust is fully restored though.
When it comes to marriage, having an affair is one of the biggest mistakes. Many couples won’t get through this difficult situation if they’re not willing to put enough effort in. Many of them find themselves needing help in order to make it. Asking a marriage expert for help should cause you no shame.
A marriage expert can help couples get through many different types of situations. Every marriage won’t be able to be saved even with professional help though. Asking a marriage expert for help though will certainly give you the best chance though.
There’s a reason for every affair. It can be possible to save your marriage after an affair if you’re willing to. In order to make things work though, it will take a great deal of effort on both of your parts. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Looking for the Signs your Marriage is Over
December 22, 2011 | Leave a Comment
Marriages can drag on for years and years without either spouse realizing that there is just nothing there any longer. Even though they’re still together, they develop their own activities and spend a lot of time apart. They seldom talk, and if they do, they don’t really talk about issues in their lives. There is no intimacy left between them, the loving feelings have vanished, and both of them are miserable without realizing they are. Marriages typically don’t get any better from this point. This situation may prompt one or both parties to start having an affair in an effort to get the love they’re desperately missing from their relationship. You may be wondering when exactly is the relationship completely over and what are some of the signs that things can’t be saved.
If you and your partner stop having sex, that’s a huge sign that your marriage is over. Intimacy is essential in order to keep the love within the marriage fresh and alive. If you find yourself no longer wanting to have sex with your spouse, you need to realize that your marriage isn’t on the right track. Can’t you remember a time when you could hardly keep your hands off of each other? You have to admit that your physical relationship had a lot to do with your attraction to each other, and desire should never end, no matter what age you get to be. Even elderly couples who can’t have sex as such enjoy loving each other, and the fact that you don’t says your problems are major.
Another way that you can tell that something is wrong is if your spouse stops coming home like usual. For example, your husband may start spending a considerable amount of time with his friends or maybe he is always working late now but not bringing more money home, and in these situations, you should realize that your husband just doesn’t want to spend much time with you. In these cases, people usually start having affairs because they’re not interested in their spouses any longer. While an affair doesn’t have to be the beginning of the end of a relationship, it often is. Having one affair may be forgivable, but repeated affairs throughout the relationship should tell you that it’s time for you to move on.
Talking to a marriage coach may be a good idea if your marriage is on the rocks and you’re not quite ready to call it quits. The coach won’t be able to save every marriage, but at the very least, he can give you advice on how to deal with the subsequent divorce much better. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Tips for Losing Weight and Getting Into Your Favorite Pair of Jeans Again
December 20, 2011 | Leave a Comment
Nowadays, there are plenty of reasons why a marriage can hit the rocks. If you let yourself go, then you can certainly expect your husband to start complaining about it. Women can easily start gaining weight if they don’t eat properly or exercise enough.
If your husband is complaining about you being out of shape, then you don’t have to sit back and take it. All you need to get back into shape is motivation and the right mindset. Here are a few tips to help you achieve your goal.
If you aren’t already eating right, then it is best that you start immediately. Your body needs plenty of water. Since our bodies are composed mostly of water, you should consume about eight cups of water every single day.
There have been many different diet fads over the past few years. Something new will come out and become quite popular and everyone will start following it. If a particular diet plan hasn’t been proven to work, you may not want to waste much time testing it out for yourself.
Dieting doesn’t mean that you’re starving yourself either. Your body needs certain essential nutrients and minerals in order to stay healthy. Fruits, vegetables, and meats will provide these essential vitamins and minerals.
Fruit isn’t something that many people have much of a problem eating. However, many people don’t eat as many vegetables as they’re supposed to. Therefore, you should start adding a few different vegetables to some of your dishes. If you frequently consume soups or sauces, then you will have no problem with this.
In order to stay healthy, it’s a good idea to get plenty of exercise. If you don’t exercise enough, then you won’t burn as many calories. You can have fun while exercising, especially if you’re out riding a bike on a scenic path. There are also people who invest in a treadmill so they can workout at home. It’s vital that you actually use any equipment that you shell out a lot of money for.
You don’t necessarily have to pay a lot of money for equipment if you don’t have it though. Paying a little bit of money every month to join a gym is a viable option. The only drawback of gym memberships is that you’ll have to make time in your schedule to actually get down there.
Getting back into shape to help save your marriage isn’t all that hard. Follow some of the tips mentioned in the above article. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Is Your Marriage Over? Here are Five Signs to Look for
December 2, 2011 | Leave a Comment
A marriage is a valuable thing, especially when there are children involved, and you owe it to yourself and your family to do everything in your power to try and save the relationship. Not every marriage works out though, so at some point, you won’t have anything left to work for. It can be difficult knowing when this time comes. It’s never a good thing to get a divorce before it’s truly called for as you don’t want to destroy something that you’ve invested years in. When is a marriage over? Here are a few signs that there is nothing left to save in your marriage:
1.Repeated abuse is the most common sign that you should look for. An abuser isn’t going to change, no matter how often he might promise to do so, and no one deserves to be abused. There is no point in hoping things will get better, and you’ll do yourself a favor by ending it now.
2.Marital infidelity is another good reason to sever the relationship. If someone is unhappy enough to have an affair, that signals that trust has left the relationship. You’ll especially have a difficult time making a marriage work without trust.
3.If you and your spouse end up arguing every time that you try to talk to each other, there’s a deeper issue to be resolved. You may end up fighting over how to raise the kids or finding a better job, but you can never seem to reach a conclusion about the arguments. Instead of arguing all the time, it’s best that you analyze the situation and determine the best course of action to take.
4.It’s also common for spouses to make up any excuse in order to keep from coming home. If you would rather not spend time with your partner, then that signals that you shouldnt’ be married to them at all.
5.Once you and your partner stop having sex on a regular basis, it is a major signal that the end is near. Couples need to have sex regularly to ensure that their bond remains intact.
These certainly aren’t the only signs that your marriage is over. If you and your partner no longer share a physical, mental, and emotional connection, then you should reconsider the status of your relationship. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

It’s Not Easy to Save a Marriage After an Affair
November 25, 2011 | Leave a Comment
You had an affair, and even though it’s over, your spouse is still threatening divorce. Even if you weren’t a routine cheater, your spouse won’t like the fact that you’ve had an affair even once, and if you don’t try to repair the situation immediately, you may soon be tossed out the door. You don’t have to give up on your relationship if both of you truly want to save it. If you haven’t had a long drawn out affair then your partner may just decide to forgive you as long as they feel comfortable knowing that you’ll never make that same mistake again. You will likely need a marriage expert’s help in order to save your marriage after one of you has had an affair.
The biggest problems that your spouse is dealing with after your affair has come to light is feelings of distrust and picking up the pieces of a shattered ego. Put yourself in their situation and try to imagine how you would feel if your partner cheated on you. You would probably feel like there was something wrong with you that prompted your significant other to cheat on you and you will experience a lot of negativity towards your partner. After coming to terms with the situation, your partner will need time to get all of the anger out of their system. You won’t be saving the relationship if you respond negatively to your partner’s harsh words about your affair.
It may take a lot of time to save your marriage. The only way that you can restore your relationship while working with a marriage coach is to develop quite a bit of patience. Don’t make the mistake of giving up too soon after trying to work things out. You may even find out that your marriage is even stronger than it was before everything happened, as long as you implement the suggestions that the coach gives you. This isn’t saying that it won’t take years for your spouse to truly trust you again, but it will happen someday.
It isn’t exactly easy saving a marriage after an affair, but as long as you’re patient and willing to put in the work while working with a marriage coach, it’s certainly possible to bring that backs to what they once were. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

If you want to Save Your Marriage, Trusting a Marriage Counselor May not be a Good Idea
November 17, 2011 | Leave a Comment
If you want to save your marriage, then you’ll probably be like most people and seek help from a marriage counselor which is a mistake. Counselors may not be able to help you as much as they let on. If your counselor has never been married themselves, it stands to reason that they won’t be able to help you save yours effectively. Why would they be called experts? There are quite a few reasons why it may be better for you to go to a marriage coach instead.
1.One hour every week isn’t enough time to address your problems properly. Using this method of sporadic counseling, the divorce will be finalized long before you ever figure out what was wrong with it in the first place.
2.One common problem that you may have is with counselors who have a distorted vision of marriage because of their own experiences. Sometimes, a counselor may actually suggest that you get a divorce instead of trying to work the problems out.
3.Counselors mainly are concerned about how you’re feeling. Knowing how you’re feeling won’t exactly fix anything How can the counselor fix the issues in your marriage just by knowing whether you’re happy or sad? Most counselors never address problem resolution at all.
4.Most marriage counselors have no idea which techniques work the best.
5.Marriage counselors don’t teach conflict resolution skills which is very important for fighting couples to learn.
6.It’s not at all uncommon for couples to still get divorced after attending marriage counseling. This isn’t a great measure of success by any means. Counselors should be ashamed of charging so much money with little results to show for it.
With such a miserable rate of success, why would you trust your oh-so important marriage in the hands of one of these professionals? A high-quality marriage coach is certainly a much better option. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Failing Marriage? Tips on What to Do About it
November 1, 2011 | Leave a Comment
Marriages fall apart for many reasons. In fact, the changes can be so subtle over time that even the couple themselves aren’t aware that they’re having problems. Divorce court may be the only solution by the time that they realize there’s a problem. However, if you’re more astute about watching your relationship for clues that things are working the way they should be, you should have time to remedy the problem and heal your ailing union.
One of the main problems in some marriage is a lack of communication. Do the two of you argue or disagree a lot? Miscommunication is a form of arguing. It could well be that even though you think that you’re explaining your feelings clearly, your spouse may be perceiving your words differently than you intended. You can try to make a commitment that you and your spouse are no longer going to argue even if you feel that you’re right about a certain situation. Dissension is a wedge that will push the two of you even farther apart.
Lack of romance can also destroy marriages. You two got together in the first place because of your feelings for each other, but they will wane over time. Other obligations will start taking priority over your intimate time together, things such as jobs and children. All of a sudden, you’re too tired or too rushed to stop and get down to romance with your spouse. If this happens, you can expect your marriage to fall apart sooner or later. This is a situation which can be remedied, however. Start initiating romantic contact with thoughtful gifts and gestures. Even if you get little response from your spouse to start with, keep on with your efforts, and they will eventually pay off.
Don’t enter a marriage with unrealistic expectations either. You shouldn’t use other marriages to gauge yours. The two of you are unique, and you can’t expect your spouse to act just like your best friend’s partner. If you set your expectations too high, your partner may not be able to live up to them. It’s important that you always recognize the good aspects of your partner and focus on them instead. You’ll likely find that the love you once shared is still there to be built upon. One important factor is that no matter how busy you may be, you have to spend time talking with your spouse. How else are you going to know how he or she is feeling and find out the actual problems that are ailing your marriage? Don’t make the mistake of letting things interfere with your time for communication. It’s vital that you both be honest with your feelings if you want to save the marriage.
You have to realize that you can’t force your spouse to be exactly what you want him or her to be. No matter how much you go around yelling, you won’t be able to change anything. You’ll need to work on being someone your spouse enjoys being around. If you’re constantly yelling or nagging, you won’t be able to grow closer together. The person you married is still there, but you may have to quit criticizing the things you see now and look for the things that made you love your significant other in the first place.
Be realistic in your expectations. You aren’t going to resurrect your marriage in one sitting. It may even be impossible for you to save your marriage. You need to try to work through your issues. It’s important that you actually try to work on things instead of arguing. Remember that actions speak louder than words. If your spouse wants you to be more supportive, try to be. These gestures will be appreciated.Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds
